If you're having trouble removing the doodle on your WhatsApp background, you're not alone.
Several users of the instant messaging app have shared on Reddit and X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that they are having issues removing the doodle from their background wallpapers.
The problem has been persisting for several days now, according to Reddit users, who first reported it on Jan. 24.
The doodle only shows if a solid color is chosen as the background wallpaper. It doesn't show if an image from the photo library or a WhatsApp installed motion wallpaper is used.
How to remove the WhatsApp doodle
To remove the doodle, Reddit users have suggested to either go into each chat and turn of the doodle or use an image from the photo gallery.
One person suggested saving "the color you want [from the internet] in your photos and then set this photo as your background: Settings > Chats > Chat Wallpaper > Choose a new wallpaper > Photos".
WhatsApp and Meta did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for a comment or further information.
